Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Bundestag President Wolfang Schäuble in Berlin next week.
As part of his working visit to Berlin on 19 February 2018, Prime Minister and Minister of State Xavier Bettel will discuss current international and European political affairs and bilateral relations with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of the Bundestag Wolfgang Schäuble.
Moreover, in his role as Minister of Communications and Media, Xavier Bettel will also attend the 68th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), along with Their Royal Highnesses the Hereditary Grand Duke and Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg.
The Prime Minister will meet Luxembourg professionals in the audiovisual production sector to discuss the challenges facing the Luxembourg film industry, especially in the digital age.
In addition, Xavier Bettel will give awards to Jean Pütz, Ranga Yogeshwar and Tom Hillenbrand, as well as taking part in the traditional reception organised jointly by the Luxembourg Embassy in Berlin together professionals and partners in the audiovisual production sector as well as representatives from the culture sector.
