The American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (AMCHAM) is organising a luncheon on Wednesday 25 November 2015 at 12:00 at the Sofitel in Kirchberg (4 rue du Fort Niedergrünewald, L-2015 Luxembourg-Kirchberg) on the topic of the relative competitiveness of Luxembourg, EU-15 and USA.
Why is EU-15 GDP per capita, productivity per hour and per employee below that of USA, 40%, 20% and 25% respectively? And how does the specific case of Luxembourg compare? What are the initial causes?
The guest speaker is Professor Doctor Jorge Vasconcellos. He was awarded the Jean Monnet Chair (by the Jean Monnet Foundation Brussels) and is one of the world's authorities on Peter Drucker and his books have been translated into eleven languages.
The presentation will be based on 25 very simple diagrams with official data from European Union and IMF and the audience will be asked during the debate to come forward with suggestions and solutions.
