Organised with APSI Partners at PwC (2 rue Gerhard Mercator, L-2182 Luxembourg).

In IT Security the 1st hour after a breach is the most important hour to act. Board of directors, PR staff, IT Security officers should work together to be prepared. Why is this first hour so important and how can you be prepared? The potential damage is too high to consider this a mere IT Security issue. Please join our keynote speaker Mo Cashman, Director Enterprise Architecture Cyber Security, from Intel, to learn what happens in this first hour and what you can do to diminish the risks for your company. Mr. Cashman’s keynote remarks will be followed by a panel discussion of notable Luxembourg-based security specialists who will discuss IT crisis management and emergency responsesduring disasters such as IT and utility failures, fraud, sabotage, theft, flooding and fire.

According to a recent corporate survey, 88% of companies experienced targeted cyberattacks during 2014. According to a study conducted by Vanson Bourne, most of you are very busy analyzing large volumes of data as you try to find actionable issues amidst the noise. On average, you are responding to an attack every five to 10 days. Your most valuable company data (customer records, employee records, patents, financial details) leaves the company in that First Hour. So, how can you determine which strategy works for your company?

Thanksgiving is one of the oldest celebrated festivals in the history of mankind. Since thousands of years before the birth of Christ the festival of the harvest has been celebrated by the earliest agricultural communities stretching from Egypt through India to China by the native inhabitants of North and South America and by our European forbearers throughout Europe, the Nordic countries and Russia.

The modern version of Thanksgiving we celebrate comes from the pilgrims who were saved from starvation by local Indian tribes in New England. This is indeed the most American of holidays, a time to celebrate with family and friends the success and the good luck that we all share.

Cost: €95 (non-members €120)

In addition, the regular Newcomers' Orientation Course for Third-Country Nationals is being held on 24 September (in English) and 1 October (in Portuguese).
