The American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (AMCHAM) is organising an evening seminar on the US Tax Reform to be held on Tuesday 8 May 2018 at 19:00 (registration opens 18:30) at the Banque de Luxembourg (Bld Royal, Luxembourg city).

The event is being organised by Amcham's Tax Committee; the speakers, Bob Stack and Calum Dewar, will address "The Largest U.S. Tax Reform for Decades, Its Genesis, Basic Principles and Impact on the EU Economy".

Bob Stack is a Managing Director in Deloitte’s Washington National Tax international tax practice where he advises U.S. companies on a full range of international tax issues and collaborates with Deloitte’s global member firms on international tax developments and initiatives, including those from the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development  (OECD). Until January of this year, he was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Tax Affairs in the Office of Tax Policy at the US Department of the Treasury where he worked directly with the assistant secretary of tax policy and the international tax counsel in developing and implementing all aspects of U.S. international tax policy, including treaties, regulations and legislative proposals.

Calum Dewar M.A., A.C.A. is an International Tax Partner in the New York office of PwC. Calum joined Coopers & Lybrand in London in 1988 having graduated from Edinburgh University. In 1993 he was seconded to the New York office of Coopers & Lybrand for 18 months. On return to London in 1995 he joined the newly set up UK/U.S. cross-border investment group and since that time has advised a wide range of leading UK and U.S. multinationals on taxation matters with regard to holding UK/U.S. investments. In November 2012 Calum became a partner in the U.S. partnership and co-leads the U.S. Outbound Group with PwC U.S. International Tax Services. Additionally Calum formerly led and is an ongoing member of PwC’s International Tax Structuring Planning Group.
