Until the end of July, visitors to the reception of the Musée national d'histoire et d'art (MNHA) will be able to discover a new display of pieces from the engraving workshop "Empreinte".
The collaboration between the two art institutes is ongoing and has seen the work of Empreinte members periodically exhibited.
Anneke Walch, a specialist in soft etching techniques, will make her return after forming part of a display that was extended for another month in August of last year. The exhibition will also feature Diekirch-born Yvonne Simon, who concentrates on intaglio printmaking; and Serge Koch, whose artistic capabilities extend further than aquatint and drypoint techniques in engraving to digital composition, paintings and poetry.
The 'Empreinte' engraving workshop was created in 1994 by thirteen engravers who wished to develop an association within which to experiment, exchange and desseminate this art form, with the workshop now representing over forty affiliated artists.
