The Al Schmelz Cultural Centre in Steinfort will be hosting a photography exhibition of works by artist Christophe Van Biesen, featuring his photographs of the city of Luxembourg.
The exhibition will take place from Wednesday 21 September 2016, with a vernissage that evening from 19:00.
Through his photos, Christophe Van Biesen seeks to represent Luxembourg uniquely, often dreamy and sometimes idealised. Sometimes his pictures accurately represent reality, other times that same reality matches the colourful dreamy vision of the artist.
Christophe Van Biesen is a Belgian artist and photographer residing in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg since 2008. Over time, he has specialised in landscape photography by capturing the capital and its surroundings of his adopted country. During the past three years, Christophe has been particularly focused on the changes of the seasons and the play of natural colours.
The photographs by Christophe Van Biesen have been the subject of several exhibitions, including an exhibition at the European Investment Bank, as well as a permanent exhibition of 24 works acquired by the BBCEE for the Arbed building, 19 Liberté.
