The French artist Julien Marinetti is presenting his art works from 30 September to 4 October 2016 in Luxembourg City’s Hotel Le Place d’Armes.
Following visits to Singapore, London, Paris, Marrakesh and New York, pop art fans will have the opportunity to see the works of Julien Marinetti over the coming days in Luxembourg City. The 49-year-old painter, sculptor and visual artist is best known for his sculptures Doggy John the bulldog, Bâ the panda, Popy the teddy bear, and Bob the penguin.
Marinetti grew up in Saint-Germain-des-Prés in France where he lived right above the studios of sculptors Paul Belmondo and Edmond Heuze. It was here that he discovered the art of sculpture, an interest which he pursued, for a short while, at the École nationale supérieur des Beaux-Arts, before later moving on to the Grande Chaumiere studio. Gradually, Marinetti began to develop his own unique style.
The French artist’s visit to Luxembourg provides a unique opportunity for pop art fans and amateurs to see works which truly encompass the spirit of this genre of art. The Hotel Place dd’Armes is also proud of the fact that Marinetti has always chosen prestigious hotels in which to showcase his art.
The exhibition is free and open to the public every day from 08:00 to 19:00 between 30 September and 4 October.
