Work of sculptor J. Jayet at Galerie Vallart;

Tomorrow will see the opening of a new contemporary art gallery in Luxembourg Ville.

"Galerie Vallart" is a new space dedicated to contemporary art. The gallery intends to offer, every six months, a choice of internationally renowned artists suited to Luxembourg collectors.

Created on the initiative of the real estate group Vallat and CEO Joffray Vallat, the gallery first existed as an ephemeral and nomadic gallery before having the opportunity to settle permanently in the heart of Luxembourg. Benefiting here from a space of 80m2, the gallery is run by its founders Clémence Romatif and Julie Peugeot.

The gallery wants to tell a story, create encounters between different artists in the same space and bring out their similarities through custom-made scenographies. It also intends to offer works for less than €10,000.

For its inauguration, the gallery has chosen the theme of "matter". The four guest artists, two visual artists and two sculptors, each work in their own way: Amaury Berillon and Yassine Mekhnache have a common energy, brightness, relationship with the thickness of the support, the layers that superimpose and reveal themselves. Meanwhile, J. Jayet and Antoine Dufilho approach the subject as sculptors. The first to create sleek, curvaceous bears, the second to interrogate the skeleton of things.

Galerie Vallart is located on 20, Avenue de la Porte-Neuve L-2227 Luxembourg. It opens Monday-Saturday from 09:00-18:00.
