Two cars were hit by falling trees as Storm Eleanor crossed over Luxembourg on Thursday morning.

The first incident involved a motorist who was driving on the CR118 from the Müllerthal region in the direction of Consdorf when a tree fell on his car. The man was unhurt, but the car was destroyed. The fire department from Consdorf removed the tree.

The second incident occurred on the road between Windhof and Garnich, where a tree also fell on the bonnet of an approaching car due to the storm. The driver was taken to hospital for medical check-ups, but was found to be unhurt. The fire brigade from Mamer took care of the removal of the tree.

At 09:00, three more vehicles were damaged by fallen trees in the carpark of a shop on rue Eugène Ruppert in Luxembourg. Once again there were no injuries and the professional fire department removed the trees from the scene.
