The previously-agreed budget of €934.9 million for Luxembourg's hospital sector for 2018 has received a €99m boost.

The law concerning the state budget stipulates that the government must reconcile the overall budgetary envelope of expenditure of the hospital sector, in this case for the 2018 financial year. The General Social Security Inspectorate has proposed to supplement the budget initially set at €934.9 million by a supplement of €99 million.

The Cabinet of the Luxembourg government, meeting on Friday, agreed to follow the proposals of the General Social Security Inspectorate and make the extra budget available.
