An European Arrest Warrant has been issued by the Office of the Prosecutor General / Enforcement Department in Luxembourg for Cihan Guzel, according to the European Network of Fugitive Active Search Teams (ENFAST).

In January 2018, Cihan Guzel was sentenced in Luxembourg to 22 years of imprisonment. However, for several weeks now he has been on the run; he recently lived in Belgium. Two of his accomplices, also sentenced to 22 years, are already imprisoned in Luxembourg.

The fugitive belongs to a gang of criminals who, in April 2013, committed a violent and spectacular robbery on a security company in Luxembourg city using explosives and weapons. During and after the crime, the perpetrators fired several times at Luxembourg police officers.
