The Rotondes programme attracts every year an increased number of visitors: in 2017, nearly 90,000 people discovered the various events proposed, an attendance that has more than doubled in six years.

With a growing public, the Rotondes site in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie reinforces the image of an important cultural and social meeting point in Luxembourg. The Rotondes pursues a policy of acting as an incubator and promotion of new concepts in Luxembourg, being open to all disciplines and generations to use the full potential that allows the spaces. Multidisciplinarity has developed in 2017 through high points of programming.

In 2017, the programming of the performing arts and labs attracted some 26,000 spectators (half of them schoolchildren) in 206 performances, culminating in Multiplica, the first biennial of digital and interactive arts in Luxembourg, the PICelectroNIC festival, which combines performing arts, music and creative workshops for the whole family, Fabula Rasa, dedicated to classical and contemporary fables and tales, and the Chrëschtdeeg am Theater, with four shows at the Rotondes, for the period between Christmas and New Year. The constant desire, in collaboration with educational partners, has been to actively involve children and young people in artistic projects.
The current music activity has seen a new progression, with no less than 83 concerts, 138 artists or groups and 16,610 spectators, and in particular the Congés Annulés which offered 28 days of uninterrupted programming of concerts, recording of live video sessions, previews of national artists, roller-disco, cinema ...

The visual arts attracted nearly 5,000 visitors, in particular through three recurring exhibitions: Jet Lag / Out of Sync, the 4th Young Artists Triennial, which revealed 26 artists, XPO E, dedicated to the artistic creativity of secondary education in collaboration with seven Luxembourgish high schools, and Generate Art, specialised in photography.

The socio-cultural programme welcomed more than 8,500 people at 74 co-organised events with some 40 partner associations and organizations. Innovative events have been programmed around the arts and digital cultures (Code & Art workshops, Cryptos-aperos), dance (Mindless competition, Open Floor) and urban arts (Ready Set Action for the cinema professions, Street Photo Slide Night and Riff World Village).

The different markets attracted a total of 21,500 visitors. The street food festival Eat it, the disc fair, the We Ride festival for used bicycles, the dressing room and the Lëtz Go Local are all essential events.

The year 2017 was also marked by an acoustic optimisation of the space dedicated to contemporary music and a reflection on the first lines of a general concept for the Rotonde 2, with a view to its upcoming rehabilitation.
