The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they undertook a manhunt today in the Reckange-Wickrange-Pissange area following an incident.
At around 14:00, a police patrol became aware of a suspicious car. When the registration plate was checked it turned out that the car had been reported stolen. However, even before the police officers were able to carry out a check on the driver, he drove off at speed.
The police officers lost sight of the car; however, shortly afterwards, it was located in Ehlange. The driver was missing. the police initiated a large-scale manhunt in the Reckange-Wickrange-Pissange area which involved both the police helicopter and the canine squad.
At about 15:15 the man was apprehended and was taken into custody. An investigation was initiated.
