The annual Luxembourg-US Memorial Day at the American Military Cemetery in Luxembourg-Hamm will be held this year on Saturday 26 May 2018 at 14:00.

United States Chargé d’Affaires Kerri S. Hannan and the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) have announced the 2018 annual Memorial Day ceremony at the American military cemetery in Hamm, known as Luxembourg American Cemetery.

The Official Party will include Kerri S. Hannan (US Embassy Luxembourg Chargé d’Affaires), His Excellency Lucien Weiler (Marshall of the Court), Simone Beissel (Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies Bureau), Fernand Etgen (Minister of Agriculture, Viticulture, Consumer Protection and Relations with the Parliament), Georges Wivenes (President of the Council of State) and Serge Wilmes (Deputy Mayor of the city of Luxembourg), as well as  LTG. Richard M. Clark (Commander of the 3rd Air Force Ramstein Air Base Germany, representing the Armed Forces of the US), Colonel Alain Duschêne (Deputy Chief of Staff of the Luxembourg Army), Colonel Kenneth GJONE (US Office of Defence, Cooperation Attaché, US Embassy Brussels), David Dana (representing the Jewish Community of Luxembourg) and Chaplain Philip Redmond (US Air Force, Spangdahlem Air Base Germany).

In addition, this year, the US Air Force will perform a fly-over with a C-130 air carrier.

The ceremony is open to the public and will begin promptly at 14:00. Early arrival is recommended due to limited parking facilities.
