Beckerich fire;

On Wednesday 23 May 2018, a fire was reported in a restaurant on Huewelerstrooss in Beckerich at around 17:00.
The emergency services arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire; the street was closed to traffic during the emergency. Nobody was injured in the fire.
It is understood that the fire broke out in an annex to the main building and spread to the house which contains a bar/restaurant. The exact cause is as yet unclear; an investigation has been started to determine the cause which involves both a forensics team and a criminal investigation team from the Grand Ducal Police.
The hosue was declared uninhabitable.
