Auchan has just informed the Luxembourg Food Safety Authorities of the recall of its IGLO brand Frozen Aromatic Herb Tray, due to the presence of pathogenic bacteria.

The product concerned contains Escherichia coli producing shigatoxins (STEC) which may cause food poisoning, including diarrhoea or even haemorrhagic diarrhoea. These symptoms may be aggravated in young children, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly.

The products in question were withdrawn from Auchan stores in Luxembourg, but some of the stocks were already sold. It is not currently confirmed whether the products were also sold in other establishments. Consequently, Luxembourg's food safety authorities have recommended that consumers no longer use the following products:

Petersilie 40g, Barcode 4250241201544

8-Kräuter 50g, Barcode 4250241201582

Gartenkräuter 40g, Barcode 4250241204088

Italienische Kräutermischung 50g, Barcode 4250241201612

Suppengrün 70g, Barcode 4250241201551

Only the products mentioned above are concerned. For these products, all batch numbers and expiry dates are affected. All other products are not affected.
