The Luxembourg Food Safety Authorities have announced the recall of sweetened popcorn and coconut products from supermarket shelves due to the presence of tropane alkaloids and salmonella respectively.
Lidl has informed the Food Safety Authorities of the recall of its Snack Day brand sweet popcorn due to the presence of tropane alkaloids which can cause health problems such as blurred vision, dilated pupils, dry mouth or tiredness.
The products in question were withdrawn from the Lidl stores in Luxembourg but some of the stocks were sold. As such, consumers are advised to not consume the following product:

Likewise, Auchan announced the recall of its grated coconut product due to salmonella which causes gastrointestinal disturbances, often accompanied by fever within 48 hours after consumption of contaminated products. People who have consumed this product and who have these symptoms are advised to consult their doctor. As such, consumers should not consume the following product:
