In connection with the two recent ATM explosions / thefts in the north of the Grand Duchy, in Heiderscheid on 9 June 2018 (at 03:30) and in Hosingen on 9 July 2018 (at 02:41), the Grand Ducal Police are looking for what they describe as a North African group of offenders, who could be resident in Holland.
It is known that the perpetrators have "strong" motor vehicles, most likely fitted with Dutch registration plates, enter the Grand Duchy and are here for a few days before the actual theft and undergo a reconnaissance of the ATMs in question.
As a result, the criminal police is asking the public for help. Who may have noticed such persons? Who may have observed the perpetrators during a possible reconnaissance? Who recently may have rented appartments, rooms or campsites to people from Holland who might fit the above profiles?
For the incident in Hosingen, the police are looking for 2 perpetrators who came on bicycles to the scene. Where have bicycles been recently stolen from in the north of the country? If bicycles have been found near the crime scene, please notify the emergency services immediately and do not touch the bicycles with regard to forensics.
