On Monday 23 July 2018, a delegation of the "USAid" independent agency of the United States government was welcomed at the Hotel de Ville in Luxembourg city at a reception hosted by Serge Wilmes, 1st alderman of the city council.

As part of their study tour, the 13 representatives were in Luxembourg to test their French language skills, before travelling on to Africa for a humanitarian aid project.
