On Tuesday 9 October 2018, His Royal Highness the Grand Duke received successively in audience for the delivery of their credentials, a total of five new ambassadors at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg city centre.
The five new ambassadors included:
- His Excellency Justin Hugh BROWN, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Commonwealth of Australia;
- His Excellency Georges Rebelo Pinto CHIKOTI, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola;
- His Excellency Eduardo José A. DE VEGA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines;
- His Excellency Mr. Mauricio ESCANERO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States;
- His Excellency Colin Michael CONNELLY, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
