The Luxembourg police have arrested two suspects in relation to a knife-related attack in Mersch last weekend.

Around 02:30 on 17 March 2019, a dispute broke out between several people on Rue d'Arlon in Mersch. The incident resulted in the injury of an individual who was taken to hospital for several knife wounds. Several participants fled after the assault.

The police launched an immediate search. After checking several addresses of suspects, the police determined a suspected accomplice, who had slight cuts. Following another intense search during the day, the alleged perpetrator finally turned up in the late afternoon at a police station in Luxembourg City.

By order of the prosecutor's office, the two perpetrators were arrested and yesterday faced an investigating judge.
