Mister Luxembourg 2020 & Miss Luxembourg 2020;
On Saturday 25 January 2020, Miss & Mister Luxembourg 2020 were elected at La Caravelle in Bertrange.
Emilie Boland, 23, was elected Miss Luxembourg 2020 during the coronation ceremony. Emilie is Luxembourgish and worked as a flight attendant for two years before studying at the Chamber of Commerce with the aim of opening her own fashion boutique. In her spare time, she is a runway model for designers. Her desire is to share her passion for fashion with the world. Emilie won the "General Culture" and "Model" challenges at the Miss & Mister Luxembourg 2020 competition.
The first runner-up was 18-year-old Alessandra Crescenzo and second runner-up was 21-year-old Lynn Heiderscheid.
Max Bidinger, 21, was elected Mister Luxembourg 2020 during the coronation ceremony. The son of German-Luxembourgish parents, Max has a passion for horse-riding. He even spent a year in England practising horse-riding and show jumping at a high level. He also enjoys boxing and taekwondo. At the Miss & Mister Luxembourg 2020 competition, Max won the "General Culture" and "Personality" challenges.
First runner-up was 22-year-old Mustafa Tofi.
Nearly 250 contestants initially applied for the competition, before the jury selected seventeen candidates for the title of Miss Luxembourg and four candidates for the title of Mister Luxembourg to participate at the gala ceremony on Saturday. The ceremony was led by Hervé Lancelin, Chairman of the National Committee Miss - Mister Luxembourg since 2017.
This year's jury was composed of Hervé Lancelin, Augustin Forquin, Haute Couture model for Christian Dior in Paris, Claudia Vitoria, Miss Luxembourg 2012, Mélanie Heynsbroek, Miss Luxembourg 2019, Maria Pietrangeli, Editor-in-Chief of Femmes Magazine in Luxembourg, and Nicolas Tissot, Member of the National Committee Miss - Mister Luxembourg.
Various challenges helped reveal the personality of the candidates and allowed the jury to select the Top 10. This was followed by one-on-one interviews with each candidate on stage with the Committee Chairman, which allowed the jury to select this year's Miss & Mister Luxembourg 2020.
