On Thursday 8 February 2018, a light plane was forced to make an emergency landing in a field in the north of the Grand Duchy.

The incident happened shortly after 15:15 between the villages of Nachtmanderscheid and Bastendorf (Tandel), i.e. north of Diekirch and west of Vianden, at a place named locally as Fréngerhaff.

During a flight over Luxembourg, the plot was forced to make an emergency landing due to technical problems. The plane was landed safely and without further incident. Nobody was injured.
