As of Thursday 21 September 2017, procedures relating to driving licences should be introduced at "Guichet.lu accueil" located at 11 Rue Notre-Dame in Luxembourg-ville.

This advanced window, set up in close collaboration with the National Automobile Traffic Society (SNCA), the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure (MDDI), the State Information Technology Centre (CTIE) and the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Reform (MFPRA), has been implemented as part of a common aim for simplified administration for the benefit of users.

From now on, the holder of a driver's licence may file their application for renewal in person for all licence categories, along with their application for a duplicate of an existing license or for the exchange or registration of a foreign licence at the reception of Guichet.lu, with all the required documents. The applicant may then withdraw their new license at the same location or, alternatively, at one of the other SNCA sites.

As a result, vehicle owners are able to carry out a number of steps related to online registration via MyGuichet. For example, it is possible to reserve a 24-hour and 7-day remote registration number. Further developments to simplify the lives of its users will be announced in the coming months.

The Guichet.lu accueil is open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 16:30.

Regarding registration, the SNCA offices will remain the only points of physical contact. The SNCA Driver's License Service remains available from Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 16:30 in Sandweiler, 7:30 to 11:45 and 12:45 to 16:30 in Esch-sur-Alzette and from 7:30 am to 16:30 in Wilwerwiltz.
