Sportunity asbl, a non-profit organisation based in Luxembourg which helps children and youth in difficult circumstances through sport, have launched a new initiative based around training - running sessions with an Olympic marathon runner, Yonas Kinde.

Seeing how more and more people in Luxembourg choose running as a wonderful form of after-work workout, especially beneficial for office employees, the people behind the non-profit organisation have come up with this new initiative. The class is open to everyone.

Yonas Kinde, winner of multiple competitions, who represented the world refugees at the Rio Olympics this summer, will help you improve your running technique, provide a personalised training programme, nutrition advice and support in preparation for races (some of which you will run together). All this as part of the truly unique experience of training with a legend!

The course started on Sunday 13 November, and is held twice a week, on Wednesdays at 18:30 and Saturdays or Sundays at 15:00.

Cost: €20 per session or €105 per month (from December on).

Each subscription allows Sportunity to offer a place to a displaced participant in the frame of its “Integration Through Sport” project which is developed with the financial support of Oeuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte (call for projects mateneen), SNJ, EIB Institute and other generous sponsors and donors.
