On 14 October 2016, the FNR (National Research Fund) presented the scientific community in Luxembourg with four prizes.
During this year’s FNR Awards ceremony last Friday, the sectors of scientific research and mediation received four separate awards of €5,000 in the categories of “Outstanding scientific publication”, “Outstanding doctoral thesis”, and “Outstanding promotion of science to the general public”.
The FNR Awards aim to give recognition to excellence in the scientific sector and reward both scientific researchers/mediators and institutions. Minister Marc Hansen, who contributed to the awards, highlighted the importance of making both the Luxembourgish and international public aware of research.
