On 1 December 2016, a total of 1,080 people participated in the Gala and celebrated IT One's 10th anniversary, with more than 700 ICT professionals attending the Luxembourg ICT Awards Gala Dinner.

After inspiring keynote speeches by Eric Fimbel and the 9 first CIOs of the Year, a series of 14 Awards were distributed, acknowledging and recognizing this year's best practices, initiatives and solutions available on the Luxemburgish market. Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister of Luxembourg, also attended the event and ended the conference session.

POST Luxembourg and EBRC were named IT Security Provider of the Year. After joining their strengths, POST and EBRC were able to increase the added value and get as close as possible to the customer constraints and business needs. Their services have real data and a customer centric approach to security.

The IT Development Company of the Year prize was awarded to Neofacto, BCEE's mobile partner behind S-Net's success. The choice of Xamarin Technology allowed a cross-platform development and the reduction of development costs. The jury members also recognized the intuitive experience, optimized access and integration of e-banking functionalities.

The members of the jury elected EBRC Cloud Provider of the Year. The TrustedCloudEurope solutions has successfully convinced forty FinTech and RegTech stakeholders that manage several billions of euros in financial transactions each year. It offers the most innovative solutions for financial technologies in the european e-Economy.

Second prize in a row for EBRC, which was also named Managed Services Provider of the Year. The mission? Set up and operate the IT systems of a bank for 20 million users in less than 10 months. The architecture was designed to ensure 24/7 high availability.

The Telecom Provider of the Year award went to Telindus, which covers 90% of the Luxembourg territory through 450 points of presence (POP). Telindus offers U-Touch, a unified communications solution combining voice and video services as well as fixed and mobile convergence. 23 690 phone sets benefit from this solution.

Wizata was awarded the Startup of the Year prize, for combining the agility of a small company with the support of a key actor in new technologies, Microsoft. Wizata gives companies the opportunity to take advantage of the latest technological innovations in terms of Artificial Intelligence and data management.

For making Luxembourg the global leader in mobile payment, Digicash Payments won the Outstanding ICT Contribution to Luxembourg award. The app was downloaded more than 110 000 times and covers more than 95% of energy and insurance bills. It is currently being exported in a neighbor country.

Orsys Luxembourg won the votes of the jury members and was named ICT Training Company of the Year, thanks to its customer care strategy focused on technological transformations, change and company management, but also for its selection of the best trainers according to their experiences and teaching competencies.

The ICT Strategic Advisor of the Year prize was awarded to Deloitte Luxembourg. The jury highlighted the company's capacity to identify trends that have the opportunity to impact business significantly, and for its combination of broad business insights.

Elgon was named ICT Company of the Year. A Microsoft reference in Luxembourg with a philosophy focused on quality, its training and services benefit from a strong reputation on the Luxemburgish market.

This year's Great Company to Work with award went to System Solutions. Since 1996, System Solutions' mission has been to help organizations of all sizes develop and operate solid datacenter infrastructures, allowing them to run and develop their business on.

The accomplishments of Didier Schneider, former Head of Infrastructure Services at ING Luxembourg, were recognized, though the Lifetime Career Award.

The ICT Team of the Year award went to OneLife, notably for the development of a new IT infrastructure, allowing their partners to check their dashboards, their portfolio, transaction status, etc. According to Eric Lippert, the team is focused on added value with an entrepreneurial spirit and great motivation.

And finally, Jean-Luc Brach, KNEIP, was named CIO of the Year. The members of the jury notably chose him for his 30-year experience in deal shaping, complex development, technical architecture, infrastructure projects, IT operations and Services Delivery. As a true FinTech company CIO, he really thinks that the future of KNEIP is in technology and is investing in advance in order to let his company benefit from the first mover advantage.
