On Thursday 24 November, more than 600 professionals from the MarCom sector met at the Kinneksbond in Mamer for the 8th Luxembourg Marketing & Communication Awards.
After the interventions of local experts on their MarCom challenges, including Thierry Reboul of Ubi Bene and Ghislain Faribeault of Marc Dorcel, the best initiatives and solutions of the market were rewarded after the vote of the members of the jury.
The ceremony began with the 7 Digital Exellence Awards and was opened by Pierre Kihn, CEO at Office Freylinger.
The Best Website Design of the Year was awarded to Bunker Palace for the Médecins Sans Frontières website. The editorial design was placed at the heart of the project as a magazine to adapt to the density of content and information. The result? A graphically seductive interface and a functional and pleasant reading.
The DigiCash application developed by Nvision was named Best Mobile App of the Year. The fully redesigned interface this summer offers a better user experience, a new design and simplified ergonomics, more intuitive and more playful.
Wili Media Makers, for the City of Dudelange, won the Best Social Media Strategy of the Year award thanks to an editorial calendar based on 2 axes: production and distribution of quality content, production and distribution of web series to position Dudelange as the ideal southern city for 25-45 year olds. In four months, the first releases generated 1,253,976 views.
The winner of the Best Content Strategy of the Year also returned to Wili Media Makers and the City of Dudelange to create a new brand image: "Looks like the South - Liewe Wéi am Süde". It shows the dynamism and modernity of the city through content in the form of articles every week on the blog www.ondiraitlesud.lu and social networks, video series, etc.
Knewledge, for AXA Luxembourg, won the Best Online Experience of the Year award. The agency developed an SEO strategy to direct the user to the AXA branch closest to his locality and SEA to refer AXA agencies according to their specialties.
The award for Best Digital Agency of the Year went again to Vanksen: "Digital is not just a website, it is the starting point for communication strategies and responds to image, sales and loyalty issues". The members of the jury also underlined a constant evolution to answer the current and future problems of advertisers.
Christophe Regnault of OneLife was voted Digital Personality of the Year. To launch a digital dynamic in his company, he developed a plan of action in three steps, entirely built around the HUMAIN: workshops "#digital - what is it?" To explain the impact of digital to teams, a user-oriented digital platform, user-friendly and relevant content and finally the creation of a mobile application.
In the Creative Excellence Awards category, ING Luxembourg, which collaborates with Nvision, was named Best Brand of the Year. The bank has especially focused on emotion as a strategy "Follow your heart". The campaign has been carried on numerous media: with teasers on bus shelters, press, radio, cinema ...
Bunker Palace, for the work done for Minett Park, won Best Design & Graphic Art of the Year. The graphic charter is very strong and explicit: a typo reproducing the codes of the railway tracks, a red ocher colour reminiscent of that of the minette and photographs of atmospheres and portraits with a specific treatment.
The Best Marketing Strategy of the Year was awarded to Plan K for ebooks.lu. The strategy began with the creation of a "ebooks" logo and a two-way baseline, "another way to turn the page." Followed the creation of a creative visual, based on a double concept "One does not always know its neighbours / to live happily live hidden".
Toolbox, for the 2016 Media Awards, won the Best Event of the Year award: a precise sequence, a succession of pictures to accompany the prize-giving, a scene in full length overhanging a screen of 24m length and 8m Height to facilitate the visibility of 800 guests, etc.
This year's Best Live Customer Experience of the Year returned to Mikadopour's Road Safety and Rosport campaign. Raoul was invited to a live show at the Atelier, to say once more that the driver does not drink. The live concert in the studio was abruptly interrupted, leaving room for a very clear message of awareness: "some ends arrive too quickly".
The VOUS agency was voted Best Brand & Creative Agency of the Year. Its 2015-2016 balance sheet: the loyalty of historical customers, the acquisition of new customers, the creation of a Belgian subsidiary or a partnership with Lux Future Lab.
As for the Best Marcom Project of the Year, this was won by POST Luxembourg, for the launch of Bamboo, the new triple-play offer. The result? Several thousand email addresses harvested for launching emailing, and contact leads usually not sensitive to POST communications.
Nils Cleworth of Tango was awarded the Young Marcom Talent of the Year Award. In particular, he created the Digital Marketing division with the creation of the MyTango app and the Tango.lu web platform. Nils has also taken over the global management of the brand and advertising by positioning UX and digital at the heart.
And to conclude this 8th Luxembourg Marketing & Communications Awards ceremony, the Marketing & Communication Manager of the Year award went to Troy Bankhead of KNEIP. Its feats of arms in 2016: the redesign of the website in responsive and mobile, the deployment of marketing automation, the publishing of 2 magazines, etc.
