CYEL 2018 winners;

On Friday evening, Antoine Hron, partner of KLIN, was selected as the most creative entrepreneur of the year by the Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg (CYEL), organised by the Junior Chamber of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (JCI Luxembourg).

1st: Klin

Klin.lu introduced the first on-demand laundry and dry-cleaning service in Luxembourg, where customers can place their orders online while on the go and have their clothes picked up and delivered to their door. The cleaning process aims at lowering the environmental footprint by reducing the use of chemical products to a minimum and by working with a reusable-packaging solution.

2nd: OUNI (www.ouni.lu)

OUNI is the first packaging-free organic grocery store in Luxembourg; OUNI means “without” in Luxembourgish, and also stands for Organic Unpackaged Natural Ingredients. An environmentally-friendly alternative to conventional supermarkets, OUNI allows customers to do their grocery and household shopping while avoiding packaging waste. This company was created as cooperative, and on behalf of all team. Rebecca Maroko and Chloé Schneider attended to accept the presitigous award.

3rd: Samuel Beauvois & Bertrand Deroanne - Assurbox (www.assurbox.net)

Samuel and Bertrand are the two co-founders behind this innovative solution to digitalise the several existing administrative process behind the insurance market, thanks to their experience as software developers. AssurBox is a platform (SaaS) to facilitate communication between insurers and their partners; the main idea is to become a communication HUB with insurance.

The platform has several modules, the first one is the "Green card request" to insurers.

Coup de Coeur

The "Coup de Coeur" was awarded by the jury to Ilana DeVillers and Xenia Ashby, whose company "Food4All", F4A, standing for FOOD4ALL, is a service company allowing costumers to find cheaper food by collecting and promoting all short-term consumption products (promotions) in every grocery store in Luxembourg. F4A have been invited to address the JCI monthly meeting in July.

Recently appointed CEO of Luxinnovation, Sasha Baillie underlined the close collaboration with other associations, and the focus on innovation and digitalisation. She also presented the programme developed to support the growth of young talents, as FIT4Digital and FIT4Innovation. Luxinnovation have been invited to address the JCI monthly meeting in October.
