On Wednesday 4 July 2018, the 2018 Project Management Awards were held at the Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, organised by Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg asbl.

The initiative, which has been in existence since 2008, rewards the best projects in the "Project Management" branch currently included in the 12th grade curriculum of the administrative and commercial division of the Luxembourg schools' technical system. For this 10th edition, 19 teams from 7 high schools participated in the final which attracted about 150 people including 125 students.

PM Awards - Managing a project in a professional way The main objective is to offer students the opportunity to lead a group work and shared responsibility, a concrete work. After validation of the project by the Lycée's management, the students take care of the design, the finished production as well as the public presentation of their project. Students are also supported in their project by a sponsor from the business world. The goal is to encourage self-care, manage a project and convey the taste of the challenge.

Each group is evaluated in a rigorous way. A jury, made up of representatives from the economic world, analyses the projects on the basis of very specific criteria. The quality of the project, its execution, the structure of the submitted file and the public presentation are criteria used to evaluate each group. This year's jury was composed of Christian Kaempff from Kaempff-Kohler, Paul Junck from the Federation of Luxembourg Hospitals, Muriel Morbé from the Chamber of Commerce and Blanche Lamesch from the Chambre des Métiers.
