The Cluster for Logistics Luxembourg has awarded the 3 first LEAN and GREEN STARS in Luxembourg, to Arthur Welter, CFL logistique and Luxair Cargo.

This establishes an achievement for the voluntary programme for Social Responsible Enterprises initiated in 2008 in the Netherlands that the Cluster for Logistics launched in 2014 with support from the Ministry of Sustainable Development.

The achievement of decreasing CO2 carbon dioxide emissions by more than 20% is a STAR certification, of which there are less than 150 in Europe across 8 different countries.

Clearly energy savings decrease costs of doing business and such achievement financially compensates the 5 year period during which the companies worked on their action plan.

The 3rd edition Lean and Green winners from Luxembourg were awarded in Brussels in February by former Secretary of State Camille Gira, who passed away in May.

The 4th edition of the LEAN and GREEN programme launched by the Cluster for Logistics on 4 October 2018 will be dedicated to his endless effort for the environment.
