On Friday, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg SA (BIL) announced the appointment Olivier Debehogne as new Head of Retail and Digital Banking; he will join the bank on 1 February 2016 and sit on the Management Board (subject to approval from the regulator).
His role will be to develop the Retail Banking activities and accelerate the digitalisation initiatives undertaken by BIL as part of the BIL2020 strategic plan.
“We are delighted that Olivier is joining us to lead our retail and digital banking activities. His experience in both retail and digital banking is second to none. We will rely on this to boost the growth of our retail activities and accelerate our digital banking initiatives,” commented Hugues Delcourt, BIL’s Chief Executive Officer.
Before joining BIL, Olivier Debehogne spent four years as Chief Commercial Officer at Keytrade Bank in Brussels, which he contributed to move from an online broker towards a fully-fledged digital bank. He started his career at Accenture, then moved to retail banking at Fortis and BNP Paribas Fortis where, in particular, he headed the “Mass Retail” segment and the marketing strategy. Olivier Debehogne is a graduate of the Solvay Business School at Université Libre de Bruxelles.
