Deloitte Luxembourg has celebrated the tenth edition of the annual forum for the Italian business community in Luxembourg on Tuesday 27 November at Mudam.

The event, which attracted a prominent, Italian-speaking audience, was organised in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg and the Bocconi Alumni Association.

We started this conference cycle 10 years ago because we realised there was a need for a forum where people can come together, gain important insights, exchange ideas and share their stories,” explained Marco Crosetto, Audit Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg and the firm’s Italian Business Community Leader. “The Italian business community in Luxembourg has changed considerably over the past decade; new profiles are coming to Luxembourg, seeking different jobs and with a distinct set of ambitions. It is a privilege for us to bring these professionals together,” he continued.

From industry outlook to Brexit

The anniversary edition of this popular, annual conference welcomed Lorenzo Stanca, Managing Partner of Mandarin Capital Partners as the evening’s keynote speaker. Mr. Stanca emphasised the strengths of the Italian economy and the important role that private equity funds can play in the development of the Italian industry, while Francesca Messini, Director at Deloitte Luxembourg, zoomed in on Brexit and the digitalisation of the wealth management industry. True to tradition, the conference also offered a detailed update on recent developments within the fiscal landscape in Luxembourg and upcoming changes in the international regulatory framework. The fiscal outlook was this year provided by Raffaele Rech, Partner at STS Italia and Stefano Longo, Manager at Deloitte Luxembourg.

Marco Crosetto opened the conference, followed by Claudio Zucca, chapter leader of the Bocconi Alumni Association in Luxembourg and Fabio Morvilli, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg.

The Italian Business Community at Deloitte has created an important annual discussion forum for the Italian-speaking business community in Luxembourg. For a decade, the conference has provided relevant insights and updates on fiscal and regulatory developments particularly relevant for Italian business professionals based in Luxembourg. Over the years, the conference has also put the spotlight on successful Italian entrepreneurs and helped spread market insights and best practices, all with a distinct Italian flavour.
