A peaceful march showing solidarity with refugees is planned from Paris to Berlin between 23 September and 13 October 2018.

In the midst of the refugee humanitarian crisis, which has seen some 25.4 million refugees worldwide flee their homes according to the United Nations Refugee Agency, one man, Grig Richters, has organised a solidarity march across Western Europe. The march will encompass almost 1.3 million steps, each one representing 50 refugees.

The march will start at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris on 23 September at 10:20 and will end at the Brandenburg Gate on 13 October at 10:20. The distance equals 28 marathons in the space of 20 days.

Anyone interested in showing solidarity is welcome to join the organiser at any point of his journey through 18 cities in France, Belgium and Germany this Autumn. The full itinerary will be released soon.
