To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their partnership, Auchan and SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde are launching a major fundraising campaign dedicated to education in emergency situations in the Middle East.

On the occasion of this anniversary, the Auchan Differdange and Opkorn stores will be joining forces for the first time in the Auchan hypermarket and in the boutiques of the Kirchberg Shopping Centre.

For nearly three weeks, from Tuesday 4 to Saturday 22 September, customers will be able to make a donation during their checkout or purchase a solidarity product (selection of school supplies of which Auchan donates €1 to SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde) or make a donation in one of the SOS tins available in partner stores.

For its part, SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde will be present on 8 and 22 September at the Kirchberg Shopping Centre and on 15 September at the Opkorn Shopping Centre to offer the young public a drawing contest on the theme "right to education" .

Indeed, ensuring access to education for children facing crises or living in conflict zones is one of the priorities of SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde. This is particularly the case in the Middle East, where the war is costing children dearly who find themselves without schools, without teachers and without equipment when they are not forced to move or take refuge in neighbouring countries. An estimated 22 million young people are out of school or at risk of becoming out of school in the region.
