Caritas Luxembourg has announced that recently, Patrick Wampach and Jean-Claude Kemmer, President and Director respectively of Réidener Schwämm (Rédange Swimming), presented a number of items to Caritas Luxembourg worth a total of €9,800.
The presentation took place at Caritas Buttek Kleederstuff in Rédange / Attert and comprised several cases of swimsuits and new pool sandals, from the stock of their shop. It took place in the presence of Henri Gerekens, Mayor of Rédange / Attert, who has supported Caritas Buttek of Rédange / Attert from the beginning. The swimsuits and sandals will be distributed to Kleederstuff for a minimal fee; this will also allow people in need to also enjoy the Rédange pool.
For Danielle Wies, head of Caritas Buttek in Rédange / Attert, the swimsuits and pool sandals will delight their beneficiaries because new clothes are rarely available in the Kleederstuff for people with very low incomes like Caritas Buttek customers who do not buy such low-priced items, as spending on food and clothing always have priority over those for recreation.
"But people in need just need to get away from their difficult daily lives and go swimming with their families from time to time," said Danielle Wies.
