ING Luxembourg has announced that it recently rewarded seven non-profit organisations as part of the eleventh edition of the ING Solidarity Awards.

On Thursday 7 December 2023, seven non-profits stepped on stage to receive their prize. ING noted that one of its objectives remains to support and promote the Luxembourg non-profit sector, which often still lacks the funds and resources to achieve its goals.

This year, the seven-member jury selected six projects in three categories, each receiving a cheque of €5,000. In addition, the jury awarded an extra prize, the €5,000 "Coup de Coeur", to one more association this year.

The categories were: financial inclusion (any project of entities working to improve the financial condition of individuals); environmental protection (any project by institutions working to protect the environment); inclusion (any project that encourages social inclusion, promotes social links between individuals, or other projects that have a positive impact on society in areas other than financial inclusion or environmental protection).

Winners

Financial inclusion: Toutes à l’école Luxembourg; Tsara Fo

Environmental protection: On.perfekt; Kass-Haff

Inclusion: Fondation Maison de la Porte Ouverte (FMPO); Global Shapers Luxembourg City Hub

Coup de Coeur: Manos Abiertas (AMA)

The jury was composed of people from both inside and outside ING. Together they determined the most convincing projects in terms of value, impact and method of implementation, noted ING. The 2023 jury featured the following: Anne-Marie Loesch, House of Sustainability; Nancy Thomas, Director of IMS Luxembourg; Delphine Berlemont, Director of Human Resources at ING Luxembourg; Anne Canel, Member of the Board at ING Luxembourg; Anthony Collignon, Business analyst at ING Luxembourg; Daniel Tesch, Uless; Patrick Chillet, Head of Internal Audit Department at ING Luxembourg.

Michael Burch, CEO of ING Luxembourg, commented: "I am very proud of ING. It is important to give back and to help the ones less fortunate or needing help. Let's continue to make a difference - together!"
