Sunflower Montessori Crèche is hosting its annual charity Table Quiz on Saturday 23 September 2017 at the BlackStuff Irish pub (15 val de Hamm, L-1714 Pulvermuhle), at 20:00.
This event is being held in aid of the Ilula Orphan Program in Tanzania and KJT KannerJugend Telefon, Online Help for parents and children.
Teams of six (€12/person); no prior registration needed. All proceeds will go directly to the two charities.
The Ilula Orphan Program touches the lives of thousands of vulnerable children in Tanzania and those who care for them with its sponsorship of foster family programs, orphan centre, preschool and community development projects. The parents and children at Sunflower Montessori have been fundraising for quite some time and now have enough funds to start building the primary school in Ilula. You can see some pictures of the progress on their Facebook page. "We’re thrilled that IOP will call the school Sunflower Montessori Primary School. Of course we still need to raise more money to continue with this and future projects in Tanzania."
Kanner Jugend Telefon also has an Online Help for children and young people. This is a confidential and anonymous support service for English speaking children young people, and parents launched by KJT as part of the ‘You are not alone’ campaign.
