Tomorrow, Saturday 7 October 2017, Handicap International is organising its largest annual event, the Shoe Pyramid on the Place d'Armes in Luxembourg city centre.
Between 11:00 and 17:00, the Shoe Pyramid will be built higher and higher, with a range of related events going on around at the same time, all part of the charity's work to raise awareness of, and to mobilse against, the use of explosive weapons in populated areas. Members of the public have become aware of the problem and think about the topic through animations prepared by the association.
This year will see the 18th annual such event take place.
