Kinepolis yesterday announced the opening of a 'Laser ULTRA' room in Kinepolis Kirchberg, scheduled for 26 September 2018.
With ULTRA Laser, Kinepolis combines two revolutionary film technologies: Barco's 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound. It is based on Barco's best laser projector, a projector capable of displaying 4K content in 60 frames per second, as well as 3D films in 4K resolution at exceptional brightness levels (60,000 lumens).
The setting up of a Laser ULTRA room is part of a larger renovation of the Kirchberg complex. The first phase was completed last year: automatic cash registers were installed, seats and carpets were renewed and 'Cozy Seats' were introduced. This year, a new room for B2B purposes will also be introduced.
Currently, Kinepolis offers the Laser ULTRA experience in Antwerp and Ghent (Belgium), Utrecht (Netherlands), Madrid (Spain) and Fenouillet and Lomme (France).
