The full programme of the 11th edition of the Central and Eastern European Film Festival in Luxembourg (CinEast), taking place from 4-21 October 2018, has just been published.
 
The 7 films competing in this year's festival are: Ága by Milko Lazarov, Alice T. by Radu Muntean, One Day by Zsófia Szilágyi, Silent Night by Piotr Domalewski, Take It Or Leave It by Liina Trishkina-Vanhatalo, The Load by Ognjen Glavonić and Winter Flies by Olmo Omerzu.
 
The festival's international jury, which will award the Grand Prix and the Special Jury Prize, is composed of Bence Fliegauf, director, Arta Dobroshi, actress, Govinda Van Maele, director, Astrid Roos, actress and Sergej Stanojkovski, director and festival director. The press jury, which will award the Critics' Prize, is composed of journalists Claude Neu, Charlotte Wensierski and Loïc Millot.
 
The 11th edition of the CinEast festival will offer the Luxembourg public the best cinema of 20 countries of the former communist bloc with a hundred sessions at the Cinémathèque, Neimënster, Ciné Utopia, the Ancien Cinéma and other places. On the programme are 65 feature films and more than 50 short films, some thirty guests, six film debates, five concerts, a large photography exhibition ("Identities"), two exhibitions on movie posters, young audience sessions and more.
 
Confirmed guests include Magdalena Popławska (Polish actress), Razvan Radulescu (Romanian screenwriter), Milko Lazarov (Bulgarian director), Janez Burger (Slovenian director), Urszula Antoniak (Polish director), Ivo Felt (Estonian producer), Janis Nords (Latvian director), Ognjen Glavonić (Serbian director) and others.
