This Wednesday, three new films come to the screens at Utopolis-Kirchberg and Ciné-Utopia in Limpertsberg, as follows:
- Fantastic Four, directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle, The Kill Point (TV Series)) and starring Miles Teller (The Spectacular Now, Whiplash, Project X, Divergent), Kate Mara (127 Hours, Iron Man 2, ), Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station, That Awkward Moment, Chronicle) and Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot, The Adventures of Tintin, King Kong, Snowpiercer). Four young outsiders teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe which alters their physical form in shocking ways. The four must learn to harness their new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
- Unity (special screening Wed 12 August @ 19:00 @ Ciné Utopia): Despite the advent of science, literature, technology, philosophy, religion and so on - none of these has assuaged humankind from killing one another, animals and nature. UNITY is a film about why we can't seem to get along, even after thousands and thousands of years.
- Mustang (in Turkish, s-t in FR & NL), directed by Deniz Gamze Ergüven and starring Güneş Nezihe Şensoy, Doğa Zeynep Doğuşlu, Elit İşcan: Early summer. In a village in northern Turkey, Lale and her four sisters are walking home from school, playing innocently with some boys. The immorality of their play sets off a scandal that has unexpected consequences. The family home is progressively transformed into a prison; instruction in homemaking replaces school and marriages start being arranged. The five sisters who share a common passion for freedom, find ways of getting around the constraints imposed on them.
