On Saturday 6 January 2018 a 20:00, the Cercle Cité will wish concert attendees a Happy New Year 2018 with its traditional New Year Concert by welcoming for the first time the "Luxembourg Wind Orchestra" to illuminate the famous Great Hall.
The Luxembourg Wind Orchestra, under the direction of Philippe Noesen, is composed of about fifty musicians, including a large number of lecturers and music teachers, as well as military musicians, OPL musicians and high level amateurs.
After the great success of their inaugural concert in October 2017, the LWO will not fail to present a creative repertoire as well as traditional Viennese works, including Strauss waltzes and polkas.
