The British Chamber of Commerce has organised an After-Work Legal Forum on the subject of inheritance regulation in the EU, to be held on Tuesday 14 November 2017 at Arendt House at 18:15.
The after-work, entitled "Inheritance sans frontieres – A practical guide to the EU succession regulation", will welcome notary Jean-Paul Meyers, Marianne Rau, who is a partner at Arendt & Medernach and Marc Berna, who is an associate also at Arendt & Medernach. The speakers will provide answers to questions regarding current regulation in this field.
The three speakers will also explain the impact of the Luxembourg fixed inheritance regime and the effect of a matrimonial contract, as well as discuss the ideas behind the EU succession regulation and explain the practicalities involved in making a will in Luxembourg, including using foreign law under the EU succession regulation.
Following on from the presentations, there will be time for a Q&A session.
The cost of attending this event is free for BCC & STEP Members and €25 for Non-Members.
The evening will begin at 18:15 with registration. The presentations are scheduled to begin at 18:30 sharp. To close the evening drinks and canapes will be provided and, as always, the opportunity to meet and discuss with fellow Chamber Members.
Reservations should be made online at http://www.bcc.lu/civicrm/event/register?id=175&reset=1
