The European Women Lawyers Association (EWLA) has chosen Luxembourg to organise its upcoming European congress which will take place On Thursday 9 November 2017; this year’s theme focuses on the key role that diversity plays to strengthen the EU.
This is the first time that the association is organising its congress in Luxembourg; a great opportunity to meet the Luxembourg members and get to know their work and objectives.
The congress is fully supported by influential women: the Opening Speech will be delivered by Lydia Mutsch, Minister for Equal Opportunities and Minister of Health of Luxembourg (at 10:00); and the Keynote Speech by Monika Ladmanova, Adviser to European Commissioner on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination, Vera Jourová, (at 10:30), entitled "Strategic engagement on gender equality 2016-2019: Where are we?"
The discussions and debates are directed towards concrete cases and the organisers want to present initiatives that work.
The event is being organised in association with KPMG Luxembourg, as the firm is hosting the conference on its premises, together with the Ladies in Law Luxembourg Association, under the aegis of law firm Allen & Overy.
