LuxFLAG’s next breakfast seminar will take place under the topic "Sustainable land use: From the UN think tank into practice", hosted by Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (BAtiment Mansfeld, 9 rue du Palais de Justice, L-1841 Luxembourg.) on 6 December 2017, with Florian Eisele, Outreach and Communications Coordinator at the UN Environment and UN-REDD Programme.
Marc Bichler, Ambassador-at-large for Climate Change and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, will present an update on recent COP23 developments. Florian Eisele will talk about the value of forests and how the financial sector can play a key role in decoupling deforestation from agricultural production. He will present finance-driven solutions for sustainable land use and landscape restoration, like the UN Environment's Seed Capital Assistance Facility, Tropical Landscape Finance Facility and the Rabobank partnership on climate smart agriculture.
