Convention Park Luxembourg;

A number of venues located on and around the Place de l'Europe in Luxembourg have come together to create a "Congress Resort" concept labelled "Convention Park Luxembourg", with the initiative unveiled on Wednesday.

The Director General of the European Convention Center Luxembourg (ECCL), Patrick Hoffnung, presented an outline of the concept "Convention Park Luxembourg - Place de l'Europe".

In the heart of Europe, easily accessible, Luxembourg is today a must for event organisers as an ideal MICE (meetings, incentive, congresses and events) destination. The Place de l'Europe, in the Kirchberg district of Luxembourg, is strategically located between the city centre and the airport and thus offers a haven of choice for all types of meetings, congresses and events.

Close co-operation between the European Convention Center Luxembourg (ECCL), the Philharmonie, MUDAM, the Sodexo group, the Melià Luxembourg and the Accor hotels of Kirchberg (Novotel Suites, Sofitel Europe and Novotel Kirchberg) is at the origin of this new concept to offer a real unique complex of its kind, which includes the services and infrastructure necessary for the success of an event.

Convention Park Luxembourg offers various places within walking distance to make events unique and diversified. Flexibility is their motto: 5 quality structures totalling 68 meeting spaces with capacity for up to 1,300 people in conference and receptions for up to 2,000 people.

A wide range of restaurants and bars complete the offer of the Convention Park Luxembourg with participants also able to enjoy the Luxembourg nightlife.

Participants will be able to wake up in the heart of the conference thanks to the 640 rooms across 4 quality establishments of between 3 and 5 stars combining modernity and comfort.

The cultural centres of international importance on the Place de l'Europe, such as the Mudam Museum of Contemporary Art and the Philharmonie, are also an added attraction.

The aim of this collaboration is to strengthen the positioning and image of the Place de l'Europe as a pole of congresses and events. Partners in the Park Luxembourg Convention see this concept as an opportunity to attract event organisers internationally. Potential customers of this new cluster can be international associations, companies or event organisers. Beyond the traditional markets (Luxembourg, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom), the goal is also to reach new markets such as Switzerland, Italy, Spain and more markets such as the United States, Canada, China and Russia.
