The University of Luxembourg is organising conferences on "Navigating the green supply chain" and the "Promises, Pitfalls, and Opportunities of Hardware-Assisted Security" next week.

The "eXplore Conference: Navigating the green supply chain" will take place on 12 March 2018 from 09:30-17:00 at the Chambre des métiers. Organised by the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCL), the annual eXplore conference brings together experts from industry, commerce and research. This year it is dedicated to green supply chains.

The one-day conference brings together experts from the MIT Centre for Transporation & Logictics, the University of Luxembourg and industry and offers interactive sessions as well as inspirational keynotes. The following day, on 13 March 2019, the university will host the conference "Mind the Gap: Promises, Pitfalls, and Opportunities of Hardware-Assisted Security" in Room 3.010 in the Maison du Savoir on Campus Belval, starting at 11:45. After years of research in hardware security, adequate solutions are still missing to protect modern computing platforms.

This talk by Prof. Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi from the TU Darmstadt will provide an overview of hardware-assisted security and discuss the impact of deployed solutions, their strengths and shortcomings, as well as new research directions. Sadeghi received the renowned German “Karl Heinz Beckurts” award for his influential research on Trusted and Trustworthy Computing.
