A presentation dedicated to cybersecurity and consumers will take place at the Foyer Européen in Luxembourg-Gare (10 Rue Heinrich Heine) on Wednesday 24 April 2024, from 12:30 to 13:30.

Organised by the Liaison Office of the European Parliament in Luxembourg, the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg and the European Consumer Centre (ECC) Luxembourg, the presentation will be in French, although questions may be asked in German, English, French and Luxembourgish. ECC Luxembourg Director Karin Basenach will moderate the event.

Anne Calteux, Representative of the European Commission in Luxembourg, will present the European Union's initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity and cyber resilience in the EU. Pascal Steichen, President of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre and CEO of the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity, will discuss how consumers can protect themselves against cyber threats. In particular, he will illustrate the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), a regulation aimed at protecting consumers and businesses who purchase or use products or software with a digital component.

Sandwiches and other refreshments will be made available to participants.
