The project will see a Mama Shelter business hotel on the site behind the Sofitel and Novotel in Kirchberg, and will include 11,500 m2 of office space and a 145-room hotel.
Designed by the architectural firm M3 and called OBH (Offices Boutique Hotel), this complex will have two buildings facing the towers of the European Court of Justice. The first will consist of offices and will be accessible from May 2020. The second, the hotel, will open in March of the same year under the "Mama Shelter" brand, renowned for its design establishments with a friendly atmosphere and affordable rooms.
The first building of the complex, all in black, will consist of rows of glazed boxes with random sizes. It will rise over seven floors, six of which will be dedicated to renting offices. Spread over 11,500 m2, these high-quality modular workspaces will all be equipped according to current standards of comfort, connectivity and energy performance.
The lower two levels will be reserved for a 265-space car park and a new police station serving the western tip of Kirchberg.
Totally white, the second building will host the Mama Shelter, the first of that name in Luxembourg. 145 rooms on five floors will be dominated by a large roof-top, a future idyllic place of relaxation and dining. The Mama Shelter will also offer a 900 m2 coworking space, accessible from Rue du Fort Niedergrünewald.
